This robovac delivers impressive AI-powered obstacle avoidance, powerful mopping, and a convenient auto-emptying dock. It also comes with an HEPA filter that seals out allergens.

It's not as adept in scouring pet hair and other messes as our top picks, but it's great for shoppers on a budget. It also comes with the most features in terms of apps, such as virtual no-go areas and zone cleaning.

1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a solid and well-built machine that does an excellent job at vacuuming floors. It has a large dirt compartment on the outside that automatically empties into the docking station when it's full, and then resumes cleaning after it's fully charged. It's effective in removing small and medium debris, but has trouble with hair from pets.

The robot, just like the i3 EVO uses iRobot’s iAdapat navigation software to learn and remember your home. It has a feature which automatically adjusts the suction power and the height of the head according to the kind of floor it's working on.

During our testing it performed admirably on both hard floors as well as low-pile carpeting, picking up most of the smaller and harder debris we dropped on each surface, while also tackling the larger cereal crumbs we deposited on the carpet. It is less adept in removing pet hair than the other models we tested. It can also become stuck on toys or cords if you do not remove them prior Bagless self-cleaning robots to sending the robot to clean.

In our tests, the i3+ EVO was clean for a period of about 90 minutes before its battery ran low and it returned to its base. This is more than the i7+ or s9+ that was only able to run for 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO has a great track record of remembering its previous run, which we haven't seen on other robots.

The i3+ EVO's trash bin has the capacity of 1.5 quarts which is smaller than most of the other robots we have tested. It has a release button on the side of the bin that you press to empty it. You can also empty the bin using the docking station's Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, which sucks up the contents of the internal dust bin and then dumps it into the station's external dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro offers outstanding cleaning efficiency, with 5,500pa suction and a mopping system that can start working within a few minutes. The integrated 770ml water tank and dustbin reduce the frequency of emptying and its capacity is large, allowing longer mopping sessions. The 240-minute runtime makes it a great option for homes with larger spaces. Its impressive intelligent navigation technology, made possible by the use of PreciSense LiDAR mapping, also ensures comprehensive room coverage, while it allows the robot to move around obstacles.

Contrary to other robot vacuums, the Q5 Pro does not require Wi-Fi for operation. However, its battery is quite short, so it is necessary to charge it frequently if you plan to use the robot for a long period of time. It is easy to maintain with an easy-to-clean dirtbag that is easily replaced and also a simple schedule of maintenance. It's also cheaper than the more expensive competitors.

The Q5 Pro can be a little finicky when it comes to pet hair and bulkier debris, though it does a solid job overall. In our tests, the Q5 Pro was able remove more debris from bare carpet and floors with low pile than the Dirt Devil Endura Max. However, it was unable to finding tight corners and recessed high-pile areas. It's also a lot more maneuverable, and the filtering system does a fantastic job of capturing allergens. The straight suction floorhead of the vacuum is low for bulky or medium-sized debris. It also has some minor drawbacks such as its lack of advanced features and limited functionality of its remote control. Despite these limitations however, the Eureka Q5 Pro is a solid option for those looking for an affordable, basic robot vacuum that can mop.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you're looking for a smart vacuum cleaner with the ability to also mop, then the SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great choice. The robot is compact form factor that allows it to get into tight spaces such as corners and under furniture that larger robots cannot reach. It also comes with a LiDAR sensor that can detect obstacles and prevent collisions.

During our tests, the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair dust, crumbs and other particles quickly and efficiently from our carpet. It also did a great job of getting into tight spots like under our beds and around the legs of chairs. In addition to vacuuming, it can do mopping with a separate cloth or wet wipe. There is a small package of wet wipes that comes with the K10 Plus to get you to get started.

The app for the K10 Plus is intuitive and straightforward to use. It offers several customization options such as setting a no disruption time, adjusting the map layout and setting a timer to determine when you'd like it to clean. The app also monitors the use of different accessories such as the side brush, filter bin filter, side brush, and sensors. This helps you know when to replace them.

The K10 Plus's battery life is pretty good too. We got about three hours of cleaning out of it with fully charged. It also charges fairly quickly. When it's done with its task, it ejects the dirt into a huge dust bin that is located inside its base station. It can be loud when it occurs, but at the very least it's not as loud as the other bagless self emptying robot vacuum emptying robot vacuum bagless self emptying vacuums we've test.

4. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the premium S Series of the manufacturer which is higher than models like the iRobot Roomba j7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It is extremely effective on different floor surfaces and can be maneuvered easily around furniture. Its main brushroll is fitted with counter-rotating scrapers made of rubber, which efficiently remove the majority of debris, including pet hair from carpets and bare floors. Its real-world suction power is strong for a robot vacuum, but it's not quite as powerful as the suction power of high-end models like the Roborock S8.

The design of the Roomba S9+ is a premium. It features an elongated frame that appears more modern than its rivals' circular bodies. This shape helps it to fit into corners and along edges more easily. Although it may leave some dust behind in these areas if the corner brush isn't spinning fast enough however, its powerful motor more than compensates for this.

In iRobot's tests, the S9+ was able to remove kitty litter and pet hair effortlessly. It also performed exceptionally well on hard floors, as it used its powerful motor to blast through the majority of debris, and clean all corners and edges with ease. Its advanced vSLAM technology as well as Imprint Smart Mapping made it one of our top navigators. It is able to find its way under sofas or beds with draped valances.

The iRobot App makes it easy to set up and operate. You can choose which functions you want to start during the initial setup, or wait until you've got an understanding of how it functions. The internal bin must be manually empty when it is full however, the process only takes about 15 seconds and is relatively quiet.

5. Roborock S8

The latest version of the Roborock S series is an impressive robot vacuum and mop combo with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it utilizes an LIDAR sensor and camera system to aid in navigation and obstacle avoidance. The app's mapping system creates a 3D-interactive map of your home, allowing you to designate specific rooms for spot cleaning or set up no-go zones. The app also lets you control your robot's schedule and set different suction and mopping settings for each room.

The S8 features upgraded HyperForce bagless suction vacuums, which is able to pick up fine particles and hair effortlessly. The app lets you adjust the suction power. The device is able to automatically switch between energy efficient 'Quiet Balanced' and 'Turbo" modes based on the surface that it is cleaning. It also has a Carpet Suction Boost mode that increases suction while the robot is on rugs.

You can manage the S8 by pressing a single button, which doubles as a general 'Clean button' or an "Spot Clean button to direct the robot to that specific area. You can also use the 'Dock/Home' option to send the robot back to its home base. The app is surprisingly dense feature set and is easy to use. You can also choose when you want to charge your phone off-peak in order to save money on peak-time electricity.

The S8's only downside is that the battery won't last as long as I'd like. It lasted only 130 minutes when I used it on standard settings that had both vacuuming and mopping on. Still, that's an impressive amount of time and was enough to completely clean my apartment.
