You can alter the shelving in both compartments to create a custom storage setup for the items you need to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is stylish, too. The LED lighting is a nice addition, and the in-door storage bins have a third shelf that folds down to make it possible to store items that are tall. The drawers come with temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a complete set of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price that includes Wi-Fi as well as app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and allows you to manage your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also offers numerous options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when the fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill, an option found in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to select the amount of cups they wish to disperse. It does have a countdown feature on the fridge display to display how much water have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is a standout. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and has dual compressors to ensure the best food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This fridge is ideal for a single family or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the highest quality food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never changing more than a fraction of one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the fridge also did well. It reached the initial temperature within an hour and remained at the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch has a reputation for high-end appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app allows you to monitor and control your refrigerator remotely on your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is pricey and has great features and functions at a reasonable price.

It is important to know the limitations of your fridge. You might need to be creative with tall items because the fridge has a small shelf space. The shelves are also not impervious to spills and could easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. It's easy to remove the refrigerator trays however, you must clean them regularly to prevent mold growth.

It's also a bit cheaper than the best counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire french style fridge freezers door refrigerator is a great choice if you want a french door refrigerator with ice dispenser-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It has a simple design that's not as visually striking as some of the competition, but it has enough features that make it a great option. Its most important feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large water and ice maker dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. The drawer lets you direct a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power to the area so it can be used to store food items which need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across various parts of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary significantly from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a great performance however it doesn't make it into the top ten in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's internal temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
