Other than that however, this refrigerator is a great option. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it holds a fair amount of frozen food when compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on par for the size of a French door fridge costing this much. It has a decent-sized icemaker in the left door. However it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in both compartments to create customized storage arrangement for the items you need to store. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is good-looking, too. The LED lighting adds a nice accent. The in-door storage bins come with a third shelf that can be folded down to store large items. The drawers include temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to shut and open, but I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support, and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place across the globe. It also has a lot of customization options. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill, an option available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to choose the amount of cups they wish to dispense. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water remains, but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

This refrigerator is the ideal option for households with a single member or kitchenettes that want an integrated look and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for several reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and never moving more than a fraction of an inch. This is essential in preventing freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within a matter of hours and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch is a household name known for its top-quality appliances. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the refrigerator has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins at each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves, and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded to provide more space for tall items. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that its Ice maker is located in the freezer, making it easy to transfer frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer also has clever design features, like sliding drawers that help you organize your items. It also comes with a large bin that holds plenty of frozen food items and an additional ice storage bin.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a great way to control and monitor your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than some of the others we test. This could be due to its bigger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow smaller people to open them from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to pull closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they had a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those who want to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with more efficient design. It has a capacity that is above average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It's a basic design that's not as striking in appearance like some of the competitors but it does have enough features that make it a great choice. Its most important feature is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice machine that works fast.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. The drawer lets you redirect the majority of your fridge's cooling power into this area, so that you can store foods that require special attention. You can alter this feature by using an adjustable slider that is located just in the middle of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary very far from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a solid performance but isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It does a great job of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared with glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
