Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to make stronger versions of the equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrader way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Using Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.
